Kubura Issah

Kubura Issah is a Ghanaian, first-generation college student from Boston, Massachusetts, and a junior at Howard University majoring in International Business with a minor in Political Science. She is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and global business, with interests spanning consulting, venture capital, and entrepreneurship. Long term, she hopes to help build and scale businesses that drive economic opportunity across underserved communities. Issah has also gained consulting experience as a Sophomore Summer Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company and participates in programs that prepare emerging leaders for careers in business, such as Girls Into VC.

 

At Howard, she is actively involved in student government and mentoring initiatives. She has served as Chief of Staff for the College of Arts and Sciences 2023-2024 Freshman Council, External Chair for  HU African Student Association, Associate Director of Campus Safety for the 64th Howard University Student Association,  and Mentorship Chair for the Howard University chapter of Collegiate 100. 

 

Currently, she serves as the Campus Safety Director for the 65th HUSA Administration and Vice President for the Howard University chapter of Collegiate 100. Issah is extremely grateful for the opportunities she’s had thus far at Howard and is looking forward to growing in her commitments to Howard and its students as she enters her senior year.
